About John

 

John is an experienced senior HSE professional who has worked across five continents embedding sustainable improvements in the field of health, safety and environmental performance.

 

John has a substantial amount of experience in connecting his co-workers to create a team empathy that lasts a lifetime. As a family man and keen sportsman, he understands the value that safety in the workplace has, not just to employees but to their families and the wider community.

 

Amongst many other achievements John has: Worked as a HSE Manager in a steel and fibre rope-making business covering four European manufacturing sites and a global customer services team. Eliminated LTI’s in the manufacturing business within two years. HSE Lead - Oil and Gas - Iraq. Various roles undertaken over a six-year period through construction (greenfield and brownfield), commissioning and start up to operations HSE lead on one of the worlds largest oil fields. Working closely with the many contractors they achieved start-up and operation without incident. John also has experience as a Behavioral Safety Coach - working for one of Africas largest mining and construction companies he was responsible for changing the safety culture within the senior management team.

John has previously studied his Mining Undergraduate Degree, NEBOSH General Certificate, NEBOSH Operational Safety Oil and Gas Certificate, NVQ L5 in HSE Management, OSHAS 18001 Lead Auditor, ISO 9001 Auditor, Oil and Gas Emergency Response, Chartered Member of IOSH, Fellow of the Institute of Quarrying

 

John is based in England and supports projects worldwide.
